The jjB!B logo: the whole tool, in one picture.

jjB!B (Jimin Jibao Brain in the Box) is the software I use every day for my own basketball betting. I usually like simpler logos. This one is complicated on purpose.

The jjB!B logo: two Bs made of stat bars around an orange exclamation mark, inside a basketball, shown large and as small app icons on dark and on light.

On the surface, all you see is a Telegram alert. That is why the i in BiB became a !. Underneath, the software itself is very, very complicated, and I felt the logo should show that. So it was designed to represent the many features jjB!B combines. If you understand the logo, you understand jjB!B. Here it is, one piece at a time.

1. The alert

Start with the one thing you actually see: the orange !. That is jjB!B from the outside. Underneath it runs a lot of very complicated software, but all that reaches you is simply an alert. A starter missing before tip-off. A key player with two fouls in the first quarter. A player who left after one minute and has not come back, when he usually plays thirty-five.

It is the i of BiB, turned into a !. It is orange, not red. Red means "do something now". These alerts mean "pay attention, here is new information". What it means for the game is your call. The ! is also the only colour in the logo, so it is the first thing you see in a busy Telegram chat list.

2. The T

Now add the two top bars to the stem of the !. That is a T, for Telegram.

Telegram is where jjB!B lives. There is no app to install and no website to keep open. The alert simply arrives on your phone, in a chat, like a message from a friend.

3. The ball

Behind everything sits a basketball, drawn as faint lines. jjB!B watches basketball and nothing else. If it ever watches another sport, only the ball changes. The rest of the logo stays exactly the same, because the job stays the same.

4. The box score

Now the part underneath: the bars. It is a team comparison, the one you see under every game: home team on one side, away team on the other, one bar per stat. No two bars are the same length, because in a real game they never are.

A real team comparison from a game page: Atlanta Hawks against Washington Wizards, one bar per stat for points, rebounds, assists and more.
A real one: every bar a different length.

That is what jjB!B reads all day: who is on the floor, who is missing, who is not starting, how many fouls, how many minutes. Plain stats, for many games at once.

5. The two Bs

Look at each side again. Long, short, long. Those are two letters B, with the stem left out. B and B, with the alert in the middle: Brain in the Box. The brain is mine, the logic I use for my own betting. The box is the box score it lives in.

There is no JJ in the logo. It does not need one. Everyone knows whose brain it is.

6. The crosshair

Now look at the bottom two bars and the whole !. One bar comes in from the left, one from the right, the stem comes down from the top. The orange dot sits exactly where they meet. It is a T-bar crosshair, and the dot is what it is aimed at.

With ten or fifteen games on at once, nobody can watch everything. The crosshair is the point of the tool: out of all that noise, lock on the one fact that matters.

7. The mask

One more. Take only the two top bars and the dot. Two eyes and a mouth: a mask.

The tool works in the background. You do not watch it, you do not see it working, you only see what it finds. The face behind it does not matter. The brain does.

8. The name

Next to the mark goes the name: jjB!B, in a condensed bold font, like the team names on a stats graphic. The ! in the name is the same ! as in the logo, the same shape and the same orange, so the two always read as one.

The jjB!B logo with the name jjB!B next to it, on dark and on light.

9. What is not in it

No odds. No pick. No arrow saying "bet this". Nothing in the logo tells you to bet, because jjB!B never does. It gives facts, fast. The decision stays with you, and it only helps if you already bet the leagues it covers.

The tool, in my own words

Three minutes on what jjB!B does, and who it is not for.

Also on YouTube ↗. The voice is a masked voice, on purpose. The full transcript is on the jjB!B page.

If you don’t bet basketball, don’t even start.

The beta

jjB!B is in a limited, closed beta on Telegram. Everything about it, including how to take part, is on my Telegram channel.
